IThe Owner's Journey
The owner
Across the ocean, back to his hometown

The Owner

From New York to Hawaii, and back to the house where he grew up — a craftsman's hand at work.

In his youth, the owner crossed the ocean and opened his own sushi restaurant in New York. He later moved his practice to Hawaii, where for many years he served genuinely authentic Japanese cuisine to local guests.

As he marked his 41st year in America, and began to think about the next chapter of his life as a craftsman, one image kept returning to him: the landscape of the hometown where he was raised. "I wanted to open a small place, right where I grew up, and welcome guests the way I would welcome someone dear to me." Guided by that thought, he opened this restaurant in his family home without major renovation, keeping the warmth of the space just as it was.

A true sense of Japanese comfort — something he could only fully appreciate after years abroad. One encounter, one moment, offered with his whole heart, at this single counter.

IIOur Omakase

Omakase

Food is strength.
Food is harmony.
Food is happiness.

Because every preparation is tailored to each guest, we offer a single course: our Chef's Omakase Kaiseki. Drawing on the owner's years as an owner-chef in New York and Hawaii, and on the finest fresh ingredients Japan has to offer, we aim to create an evening you'll remember for a long time.

IIIThe Space
Interior

The Space

A relaxed space, with the warmth only a family home can offer.

Rather than undertake major renovations, we've kept the original pillars, shoji screens, and overall character of the house where the owner was born and raised.

It's a quality of comfort the owner came to appreciate only after years of living in America. In an atmosphere that feels like returning to a childhood home, please relax and enjoy the full expression of a master craftsman's cooking.
